2. Legal framework
This policy is issued in accordance with Article 15 of the Political Constitution of Colombia, Statutory Law 1581 of 2012, Decree 1377 of 2013 (incorporated into Single Regulatory Decree 1074 of 2015) and any rules that amend or supplement them.
3. Data we collect
Through the contact form on this website we collect: first name, surname, email address, telephone number, the reason for contact selected and the message written by the person. For security purposes we also record the IP address from which the form is sent and the date and time it is sent. We do not request sensitive data; please do not include it in your message.
4. Purposes of processing
- To respond to requests, queries and concerns sent by the data subject.
- To provide information about the foundation's education programmes, scholarships, technology provision, volunteering and partnerships, according to the reason for contact chosen.
- To manage admissions, the award of scholarships and the involvement of partners, volunteers or donors when the data subject so requests.
- To prevent fraudulent or abusive use of the form (spam) and to protect the security of the website.
- To produce internal, non-identifiable statistics on the requests received.
5. Rights of the data subject
As the data subject you have the right to: know, update and correct your personal data; request proof of the authorisation given; be informed of the use made of your data; lodge complaints with the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio) for breaches of the law; withdraw the authorisation and/or request the deletion of your data when the legal principles, rights and guarantees are not respected; and access your personal data free of charge.
6. Responsible area and contact channels
Queries, complaints and requests relating to personal data are handled by email at info@fundacionurielcastiblanco.org, by telephone on +57 6019178040 or in person at Cra 7A No. 30 – 102 B/ La Magdalena, Girardot, during the opening hours published on this website. Requests may be submitted in English or Spanish.
7. Procedure for queries and complaints
Queries: these will be answered within a maximum of ten (10) working days from the date of receipt. If it is not possible to answer within that period, the person will be informed of the reason for the delay and of the date on which the query will be answered, which may not exceed five (5) additional working days.
Complaints: a data subject who considers that their information should be corrected, updated or deleted, or who notices an alleged breach, may submit a complaint stating their identification, a description of the facts, the address for the reply and any supporting documents. The complaint will be dealt with within a maximum of fifteen (15) working days from the day after receipt, which may be extended by a further eight (8) working days, informing the person of the reasons for the delay.
8. Information security
The foundation adopts reasonable technical, human and administrative measures to protect personal data against alteration, loss, consultation, use or unauthorised access. This website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and Google's reCAPTCHA service to filter automated submissions.
9. Validity
This policy is in force from the date shown at the top. Data will be kept for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described and the applicable legal obligations. Any substantial change will be published on this page.
